Description
Our Client are looking to recruit an Operations Manager based at their Plant Yard near their head office in Essex.

Our client supply plant, equipment and materials to all construction developments. This includes forklifts and other mechanised plant, site offices and cabins and is also responsible for taking delivery of, storing and the distribution of, a range of goods which are brought in from Europe, Dubai and Asia. This includes tiles, stone, sinks, brassware and other components.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the Logistics subsidiary business. The role also includes developing cost control, analysis and reporting systems and strategic planning of plant, equipment, materials and resources to meet future growth plans.

Previous plant management experience is essential and knowledge of warehousing, distribution and stock control would be an advantage. Leadership/management capability are important together with strong communication skills and sound financial acumen.
